Follow these simple steps to help your baby bond with Ramona the Radish Big Doudou, a safe and comforting companion for sleep and play.
Quick answer
Introduce Ramona the Radish Big Doudou gradually during calm moments like feeding or naptime, letting your baby explore the soft fabric and natural rubber safely.
Why a doudou helps with comfort and security
A doudou acts as a transitional object, helping your baby feel secure when you are not right there. The familiar texture and gentle weight of a plush toy like Ramona can soothe your baby during sleep, travel, or new situations. Because every component is securely joined, you can let your baby hug, chew, and explore without worry.
How to introduce Ramona to your baby
- Start during a calm, positive moment: Place Ramona near your baby during a feeding or after a bath when they are relaxed. Let them see and touch the toy without pressure. Common mistake: forcing the toy when your baby is already upset can create a negative association.
- Use your scent to build familiarity: Sleep with Ramona next to you for a night or hold it against your skin before offering it to your baby. Your scent helps the toy feel safe and familiar.
- Gradually introduce it during separations: Leave Ramona with your baby during short separations, like with a caregiver or in a crib. Start with a few minutes and increase the time as your baby shows comfort. Checkpoint: If your baby ignores or rejects the toy, wait a week and try again. Forcing it can delay attachment.
